Marney Studaker-Cordner and Kim Abraham are licensed Child and Family therapists in the Flint, Michigan area. They have provided therapeutic services and support to families dealing with concerns such as trauma, bullying, addiction, anxiety, depression, blended family and behavioral issues for over twenty five years. With backgrounds in child welfare, community mental health and early education, Marney and Kim have partnered to empower families, parents and children as they deal with the difficult issues facing society today. Marney and Kim have been contributing authors to the online parenting website Empoweringparents.com since 2011. So cute!

My 6 year old loves the pictures and it's easy for her to read. I like it because it opens up conversation about differences in people. Kids are curious, they stare and they don't easily understand that just because someone/something looks different doesn't mean they aren't awesome just like them! Loved it!

True Story- Lessons for a Child or Adult to learn about Real Life

My wife and I purchased the Daisy book from Author Marney at a show at our local mall to do research on children's books.
We feel this book is very well written and has several messages through out that would help any child understand that animals, like people do get sick or injured and with some help can survive and be part of a world that still loves them even if they may look different.
If a child can relate to animals that will carry over to mankind and surely make this world a better place. I would think this book would be a excellent read to relate to our injured veterans. Buy the book! Well written, great pictures of real life and Authors put their heart in it.

about Daisy immediately, which is quick, easy, delightful reading. How Daisy, a tiny chinchilla, overcomes trauma with the help of her friend Rosie is an endearing story of loyalty and courage for All ages. Read Daisy, you will learn something important. I commend the authors Marney and Kimberly in choosing their career and compassion to humanity.

Constructive guide

Confidence isn’t my best asset. So you would expect, from a reserved girl like myself, it would even be more difficult to impress a very strict hiring manager. When I graduated with a degree in business management, I promised myself that I would apply for a top-notch company I could grow in. I had a lot of options but this one company is my dream. To turn the long story short, I sent in an application, and I have an interview next week. Thank goodness!

I decided I would need a few pointers to be more than prepared. So I scouted around Amazon where I usually purchase my e-books and found this one. It is a very comprehensive book. This is the first I’ve read on the subject of job interviews and believe all that I’ll ever need to read. I admire how the author provided structured steps until you get to the focal point. First, you’ll discover how to make a winning resumé (very informative, very useful), then you’ll be educated on the top careers today (consider this), and chapter one ends with how to be your best personality to make it that you’re the only one fit for the job. I especially like this part because it painted me a picture, and reminded me of the qualities I need to possess to win the interviewer over. A team player, flexible, optimistic, are some of the traits I realized I needed to work on so I could make it great. In the book you will find much more, and the author will teach you how to go about improving every one of those winning work characteristics. I learned the importance of body language as well, and that this could be a deal-breaker. I’ve been practicing in front of the mirror. I’m betting I’ll do well.
The second chapter of the book prepares you for the interview in terms of putting yourself out there for companies to find, followed by self-reflection questions before the event, and lastly, knowing how to dress yourself like a professional. To tell you the truth, I got this job interview because I made a LinkedIn profile! In all honesty! It really did work. So I recommend you to do that as soon as you have the time. The author highlighted some reminders before you go to the actual interview. I advise that you read through them and read through them again because I’m sure it would really really help. Then there’s the portion on how to dress to impress. This part – one of the most life-saving! I bought a brand new set of clothes just for this. I’m definitely wearing the part.

When you get to the portion on nail-biting questions, I tell you, you’ll learn and even laugh. There are a lot of questions in there that you didn’t realize hiring managers are trying to squeeze out of you, subtle questions that you think you’d choke on, but not anymore. I won’t go into too much detail, because I think that you should go buy the book yourself. It’s worth the couple of dollars.
The questions and answers I would agree are spot on and will certainly prepare you for what will go on in that room. I feel I’m ready. You deserve to be too.

I got the job thanks to this!

I just had a job interview almost a week ago. Guess what. You can guess right I got the job offer! Woohoo! And I have nothing but this book to thank for. It helped heaps. A friend recommended me to read it and told me everything I needed to know would be found there. I read it three times until I got the whole gist. I’m normally not the anxious guy, but this was a job I was aiming for since before I got my degree, and I nailed it!

The author does not disappoint when he says he will “enlighten”. I tried asking a bunch of people who have jobs and didn’t really get any clear answers, but this book did it for me. I am beyond grateful. The interviewer asked all the questions (except one, but I improvised and it was a cake) that were in this book. I was able to come fully prepared. First I did some research on the company like the author said and I wasn’t too personal in my answers. I placed my goals for the position and the company’s ambitions first. That’s how it worked out well I think. The book also gives a run-through on how to dress well. That, I followed down to every single detail and it seemed, the hiring manager (she) was convinced and even complimented me for my look. What the author also doesn’t forget are tips to self-assessing yourself. These come very handy, as handy as the answers to the questions themselves.
So, I’m starting in two weeks and I’ve never felt so accomplished. Thank you! And buy this book, trust me, it’s FOR THE BEST.

Educational. I’m all set for that interview now!

I’ve been surfing for a few jobs some time now. I let go from my last one. There was a mass layoff and I’ve been scared to push through with applications ever since. While I was looking around online for offers in my line of work, I came across this book on Amazon. I felt that I needed it, and it was only a couple dollars.
Well, I am mighty glad I bought this. My last job was my first job and I didn’t want the interviewer to think that I wasn’t good enough because they kicked some people out. But I learned that you just have to be honest with everything and say your real motives, that you are still willing try despite whatever. That’s what I learned.

I also loved reading the part about how to dress for the interview. Now I know what’s right for the occasion. Haha! Before, I didn’t care what the heck I wore as long as I was comfortable. I didn’t know how much of an impact it could bring to the interview. I like how the author states his advice. Well-explained, as if he’s gone through all interviews with no scratch marks! There’s a part in the book that gives you information about some of the jobs out there today. I think this was helpful because it also gave me a chance to consider other things. Maybe in the future. In total, I would really recommend this book to any job interviewee out there. It has all the questions you could possibly dread about. You’ll come suuperr prepared.
So I have an upcoming interview a week today, and I’m hoping for the best. Without doubt, I’ve gained more confidence.

Don't expect "life hacks"; instead embrace a different philosophy...

I didn't pay these prices for this book. In fact, I got it for free. But you have to know the secret Billionaire Handshake. So...there's that.

This book is more of a collection of essays on what makes life "rich" - as in "meaningful". It brings an interesting perspective on what is truly important in life and dispels any notions that being wealthy is great simply because you have a lot of money - or that having a lot of money makes life great.

Instead, the author systematically addresses the fundamental aspects of one's life and analyzes them, applying a philosophy of how to get the most out of each; how to appreciate them; and how to apply the same thought process to every other aspect of your life, including how to 'weed out' the things that on the surface seem important but really are meaningless.

An interesting read. Might be a huge eye opener for many.

A Surprisingly Good Read

The book really surprised me in a good way. The title struck me as superficial, however, it was anything but superficial.

Not only did "Living Rich" have good ideas and perspective on the material side of living rich, but the best part was the non-material and philosophical side of living rich. The book presented many simple and practical approaches to live a more fulfilling life including: how you spend your time, how you approach work, how you view experiences, what makes you happy and approachable ways to enrich your life through art, music and movies. For example, Mr. Ford presented a simple approach (with examples from his own life) to categorize activities and help shift from "zombie or self destructive" activities to activities that improve you in some way.

On the material side of living rich, the advice was also very good. Mr. Ford offers good suggestions on eating, drinking, sleeping, driving and dressing rich without over-paying.

The quality, simplicity and authentic feel of the advice in this book suggests to me that Mr. Ford has thought deeply and learned a lot about living rich on many levels and truly wishes to help others. The book is well written, well worth the time and could make a positive difference in your life.
