ABOVE THE LAW, Book Four in The Men of Sanctuary series, began as a fairly upfront male/female romance, then morphed into a menage a trois among three distinct and strong personalities. As their backstories and personalities evolved, however, the characters refused to cooperate with the more straightforward male/female/male plot, and went off on their own. Enjoy their hot, stubborn personalities -- I did!

I love Danica’s writing and this book delivered all that I expected and more. She’s certainly not afraid to hit any sexual subject–even if her characters are! I found it funny and sweet that even alpha Glennon was able to overcome his issues and get on board with his sweet and uncommon love for Joe and it all worked out really well in this latest (to me) Sanctuary story.
Glennon Garrett is recovering from an injury he got in an earlier book, but he didn’t let his full leg cast and damaged arm stop him from a crazy-hot sexcapade with Game Warden Abigail O’Connell. When her best friend and working buddy Joe shows up one night when they are toasted, nature and tequila take their course and the three of them engage in a frisky menage. Surprisingly, the connection between Glennon and Joe is the one that gets the most attention.
Glennon’s always had relationships with women for the most part–not counting his sexual one with a military buddy while overseas–so the fact that he’s so crazily attracted to Abigail’s friend Joe is making him feel a little stupid and a lot uncomfortable. What’s going on? And when Joe returns his interest and they fall into heated passion, it completely blows his mind. WTF!?! Why does being with Joe feel so right?
When Abigail kicks him out, he moves on to Joe and they continue their affair–but on the down-low. Damaging photos show up, however, that would make his relationship with Joe VERY public. Glennon’s concerned about what the other alpha men in Sanctuary will think, and his hesitation hurts Joe and causes Abigail and others to get really angry with him. He’s going to have to step up and acknowledge both his feelings and his relationship with Joe or else lose the first person he’s ever felt close to.
But someone else has got plans for Joe. If they get to him first, Glennon’s going to lose his chance at a forever love…
